Welcome to the Smith Rock Classic! Join us for our springtime 50 mile, 50K, and 10 mile races that showcase the beauty of Smith Rock State Park. The towering basalt cliffs and views of the nearby Cascade range await you as you travel in and around the park. The courses also include miles in the Crooked River Grasslands - beyond the boundary of the park - that offer a different view of Oregon's classic high desert terrain as well as the fantastic scenery of the high peaks of the Cascades.

CHECK IN

Check in begins at 5AM for the 50M and 6:30AM for the 50K. Check in will be race morning only at Skull Hollow.

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are numerous lodging options in Redmond (20 minutes), Madras (30 minutes) and Bend (45 minutes).​​

The nearest airport is Redmond (RDM). Portland (PDX) is 2.5 hours away.

POST RACE 

Post-race meal will be provided by Longboard Louie's.

AWARDS

All participants receive a sweet custom award when they finish.

The top 3 male, female, and non-binary finishers of each race will receive awesome prizes from our great sponsors.

Alpine Running loves to give back to the community, and each of our races has a beneficiary. The beneficiary of Smith Rock Classic is Ridgeview High School XC team.
