50MILE

The 50mile consists of a 25.5 mile loop that is run twice. Total elevation gain is 7200ft and loss is 7200ft. 80% of the course is run on single-track trails and 20% of gravel, dirt roads. There are 8 fully stocked aid stations and one hydration-only aid station (Skull Hollow CG) along the course.

AID STATIONS

There are 8 full aid stations and one minimal (unmanned) aid station along the 50mile course. Each full AS will have the usual ultra food selection: Chips, PBJ, bananas, cookies, Spring Energy gels, water, soda and other items. All Alpine Running races are cupless, so be sure to be a cup with you.

CUT-OFF TIMES

There are two cut-off times:

  • AS5 at 12PM - mile 25.5

  • AS8 at 4PM - mile 40.7

DROP BAGS

There will be drop bags at AS3,5,6,8

PACERS

No pacers are allowed on the course .

CREW

Crew are welcome to see their runner(s) at AS 2/7 and start/finish/AS5. All other aid stations are off-limits to crew due to our permit. Runners are responsible for informing family/friends of this. You risk disqualification if your crew are found at any of the off-limits aid stations.
