50MILE

The 50 mile is a lollipop-like course. You begin by climbing up the eastern flanks of Crescent Mountain. After taging the summit of Crescent - with breathtaking views of Mt Jefferson, Three Fingered Jack, Mt Washington and the Three Sisters - you will drop down the northern part of the mountain and begin a large 50K loop - with a few very short out-n-backs - that get you to aid stations. The views of distance peaks and the surrounding area gets better and better as the miles pile on. You will also have views of your earlier miles looking across the valley over to Scar Mountain. The second to last climb up Three Pyramids - although steep and on tired legs - you again will be rewarded with majestic views. After hitting the last aid station, you will begin your last climb up and over Crescent Mountain. The descent to the finish is on buttery single track -- with the last 1.5miles on a gravel/paved road.

Total elevation gain is 12500ft and 12500ft of loss. 88% of the course is on single-track trails, 4% two-track, 4% on gravel roads and 4% on paved road with 6 fully stocked aid stations.

You have 17 hours to complete this brutally awesome course!
