AIR QUALITY & FIRE SEASON
Forest fires and poor air quality have become a consistent challenge during summer months across the western United States. We take these environmental risks seriously and closely monitor conditions throughout fire season.

We actively monitor AQI (Air Quality Index) through multiple stations and E::Space Labs. Please note: air quality can vary significantly across different sections of the course due to wind, elevation, and terrain.

AQI Level and Impact on Event
150–200
Event on alert. Runners must decide individually whether to start or continue based on personal health/medical risk.
>200 (Pre-Race)
Race will be canceled if AQI is forecasted to exceed 200 before the start.
>200 (During Race)
Race will be halted if AQI rises above 200 on any part of the course.
