There are 6 locations (4 different aid stations) where you can have drop bags:

Tumalo Creek Aid Station     - AS3/10 - Miles 16.5/56.5

Swampy Lakes Aid Station    - AS5       - Mile 28.7

Quarry Aid Station                - AS13     - Mile 76.8

Whychus Creek Aid Station - AS15/17 - Miles 88.2/98.8


Please respect these GUIDELINES for drop bags. Race directors/personnel and volunteers are not responsible for lost items. 


Drop bags will return to the finish when the aid station closes. Please don't ask us when drop bags will return to the finish as this is dependent on many variables. All of the aid stations above are accessible by crew. If you want your drop bag(s) sooner, your crew can drive to them (see directions below in the "CREW" section.)


NOTE: We do not ship drop bags after a race. If you forget to grab your bag(s), you are welcome to pick them up in Redmond, Oregon 1-2 days after the race has finished.  


Pacers must follow these basic rules:

Only 1 pacer may run with a race participant at any given time.

Pacers are not allowed to carry any of a runners items - water, food, clothes, headlamp, etc.

Pacers can eat from any aid station - as if they are a participant in the race.

Pacers must follow the rules of race/Alpine Running.

Pacers can not have a drop bag.

Pacers are on their own getting to/from an aid station(s).

Pacers must sign a waiver at runner check-in and obtain a bib number.  

Anyone not following these rules risks disqualifying their runner.

A pacer can access a runner at these aid stations:

Tumalo Creek         (AS10)   - Mile 56.5 (2nd pass)

Quarry                     (AS14)  - Mile 76.8 

Whychus Creek (AS15/17)   - Miles 88.2/98.8


Crew accessible aid stations are the following:

Tumalo Creek (AS3/10) - miles 16.5/56.5

Dutchman (AS4) - mile 21.6

Swampy Lakes (AS5) - mile 28.7

Quarry (AS13) - mile 76.8

Whychus Creek (AS15/17) - miles 88.2/98.8

Crew must follow instructions from race volunteers.

When parking, please be aware of the environment/surroundings.

Please don't litter. 

Please be considerate of runners, volunteers, other crew and other users of our national forests.


Tumalo Creek, Dutchman and Swampy Lakes are all within 25 minutes of each other.


Tumalo Creek is accessible by a 4 mile dirt/gravel road. Please use caution when driving on this road!

Quarry is accessible by a 1 mile of dirt/gravel road.


Please do not attempt to get from Tumalo Creek AS to Quarry AS by forest service road 370. YOU MUST go all the way back into Bend via Cascade Lakes HWY and then through Sisters. This is to limit traffic on forest service roads in areas of high-use from other users. This is also in our permit. Thank you for abiding by this.
