Welcome to the Trinity Alps 55K & 20mile trail races. These alpine races in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest - just north of the Trinity Alps Wilderness in the Klamath Mountain range - offer some of the most spectacular scenery in Northern California. With majestic views in all directions of Mt Shasta, Mt Lassen and Castle Crags all the while running on the historic Sisson-Callahan National Rec Trail. You will summit Mt Eddy (elevation 9025ft) and cross the beautiful Deadfall Lakes area.
The 55K is an out-n-back course that has 85% single track and 15% dirt road with 5 aid stations. The average elevation is 5600ft with 8000ft of elevation gain.
The 20mile is a point-to-point that has 80% single track, 13% dirt road and 7% pavement (the first 1.4miles) with 2 aid stations. It has 3000ft of gain and a whopping 6500ft of descent.

The start of the race is at the Parks Creek Trailhead -
directions HERE. Runners must find their own transportation
from runner check-in to the start. There is also NO return
transportation to get your car if you leave it at the trailhead.

There are numerous hotel accommodations in the surrounding towns of Mt Shasta and Weed.
We will have free and delicious post-race food and beer for all runners and volunteers.
All finishers will receive a very cool finisher award.
The top female/male of each race will receive awesome prizes from our great sponsors....along with raffle prizes for many!
The local beneficiaries of the race will be the Mt Shasta High School x-country team. They will be on the course at the aid stations.
Please click HERE. As with any race in the mountains, the weather can change quickly depending upon your elevation. However, the weather in August is usually warm and dry.
