WE ARE STARTING THE PERMIT PROCESS. STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS FOR A RACE IN NOVEMBER OF 2020!!
Welcome to TopaTopa. These challenging courses offer amazing views of the Sespe Wilderness, Ojai Valley and the Pacific Ocean with technical terrain, chaparral vegetation in a Mediterranean-like climate. Come prepared as these races have some serious elevation gain - 13300ft for the 50mile and 4500ft for the 20mile- that will test the most seasoned runner. The 50mile run will get you near the summit of Topatopa Bluff. (The summit is 100meters away, but in wilderness where events are unable to enter.)
The 50mile has 3 major climbs with close to 13300ft of gain and 13000ft of loss. 60% of the course is on single track trails, 38% on dirt/gravel roads and 2% on pavement. There are 6 full aid stations
The 20ish mile is a looped course. The views are just as breathtaking as the 50mile. Total elevation gain is 4500ft and 4500ft of loss. There is one full aid station. 58% of the course is on single track trails, 37% on dirt/gravel roads and 5% on pavement.
