Refunds?

Entry fees are non-refundable and bibs are non-transferable. 

Day of race registration available?

There is no race day registration. However, you may register in person at packet pickup Saturday September 28, 2019 at Footzone in Bend 3pm to 6pm.

Can I switch distances?

You may drop down to the half marathon if registered for the marathon - no refund will be given. You may also switch from the half to the full marathon - the difference in price would be due. In order to switch distances, you will need to email the race directors janessa@alpinerunning.co or trevor @alpinerunning.co

What do I need to bring with me to packet pick up?

You will need to bring a photo ID with you to pick up your packet.

Is packet pick up mandatory?

Yes! You will need to pick up your bib either at packet pick up at Footzone Saturday September 28th 3pm to 6pm or race morning at DD Ranch beginning at 5:45AM. The race is chip timed and you will need to wear your bib during the race. If you do not pick up your bib, you will not be allowed to race. 

Where can I pick up my packet/bib?

Saturday September 28, 2019 at Footzone in Bend from 3pm until 6pm OR race morning at DD Ranch beginning at 5:45AM.

Can a friend or family member pick up my bib for me?

Yes, a friend or family member may pick up your packet for you - they must bring a copy of your registration confirmation email received during registration with them in order to pick up your bib.

Is Smith Rock Marathon a Boston Qualifier?

Yes! The Marathon and Half Marathon courses are USATF certified. 

What is the course time limit?

All participants must finish the marathon within 8 hours and the half marathon within 7.5 hours. After 3pm there is no traffic protection and water stations will be closed. Race officials will sweep the course at this time.

What are the age requirements?

Kids race - 3 years to 12 years old

Half Marathon - 12 years old

Marathon - 16 years old

Are dogs allowed to run with me?

No dogs are allowed on course (other than service animals).

Are iPods or earphones allowed on course?

iPods and earphones are allowed if worn in one ear only. Please be cautious and mindful of your surroundings, cars, and other runners. 

Are strollers allowed?

No bicycles, inline skates, blades, skateboards, or strollers allowed on course. The only wheeled vehicles allowed are those of wheelchair competitors.

Early start?

There is no early start and no late starters allowed. 

Are wheelchairs allowed on course?

Yes. If you are a wheelchair participant, please note it on your entry and email us to inform us.

Will there be portable restrooms on the course?

Yes, there are portable restrooms located at the start/finish area and along the course.
