RACE DETAILS

Welcome to Run The Rock, offering spectacular 50K and half marathon loop-style trail races within Smith Rock State Park and the Crooked River National Grasslands, located near Bend, Oregon. Both courses offer amazing views of the Cascade Range - from Mt Hood in the north to Mt Bachelor in the south. You will pass the sheer rock faces at Smith Rock State Park - famous for rock climbing - and the unique beauty of the Crooked River National Grasslands.

The 50K hits almost all the trails in the Park --- even going up Misery Ridge and passing right below the flanks of the steep and famous Monkey Face! Your journey will then take you on a big loop around Gray Butte, soaking up the sites of the surrounding area and the high Cascade Peaks. Total elevation gain is 5500ft and 5500ft of loss. 85% of the course is on single-track trails, 15% on double track and dirt roads. There are 4 fully stocked aid stations.

The half marathon course has incredible views of the Cascade Range and Monkey Face. There is one full aid station with about 2500ft of climbing packed into 13.1 miles. 90% of the course is on single-track trails.
