Tri blend shirts will also be for sale the weekend of the race at the fairgrounds in Sumpter. **Due to COVID-19 there will be no pre/post race meal in 2020.

PACKET PICKUP

**There will be an additional packet pick-up Friday, July 30 from 4PM-7PM

Bib pickup will be race morning at the fairgrounds in Sumpter from 3:30AM -6AM.

SHUTTLE INFO 

Racers will be shuttled to the start in Bourne from the fairgrounds in Sumpter. Racers will need to utilize the shuttle as there is no runner drop off at the start due to limited parking. Crew will not be able to drop off their runner at the start - no exceptions. *Masks must be worn, hand sanitizer used prior to boarding the bus, and seating will be spaced. This is required in order to ride the shuttle.*

THE SHUTTLE WILL LEAVE THE FAIRGROUNDS AT 4:45AM SHARP FOR THE 50MILE.

THE SHUTTLE WILL LEAVE THE FAIRGROUNDS AT 6:15AM SHARP FOR THE 50K.  PLEASE BE ON TIME.

POST RACE **NO post race meal for 2020 due to COVID-19. Please plan accordingly**

Please stay and enjoy the post race festivities! We are excited to have Elkhorn Grills serving up some amazing wood fired personal pizzas for the post race meal this year! Food/beer will be provided to all racers and volunteers and for a fee for friends/family .

We will have great prizes from our sponsors for our top 3 male/female finishers.

ACCOMMODATIONS

 

CAMPING **Camping will only be permitted maintaining distance from another camp. NO spectators this year. No camping allowed until 2pm on Friday July 24th. Must depart the grounds by 11am Sunday July 26 **

  • All are welcome to tent camp for free at the finish (fairgrounds) in Sumpter.

SHOWERS

  • There are showers - $2.50 for 4 minutes - available for use at the finish. Showers require quarters. Please bring quarters as there is no quarter machine.

 

RV CAMPING

  • 20 RV sites available. You can reserve an RV site through the registration process on Ultrasignup. 

  • Fee $25 for the weekend.

  • Electricity. No sewer. Some sites have water.

  • No use of AC units permitted.

 

QUIET TIME

  • Please be considerate of the local residents by keeping the noise down starting at 10pm.

 

PETS

  • Please be mindful of neighbors to the fairgrounds. Dogs must be well-behaved, leashed, and cleaned up after per the City of Sumpter. Just remember you cannot leave your dog unattended while you are racing. Thank you!

WEATHER

The weather in the Elkhorn Mountain Range in July varies greatly from highs in the mid-80s to 90s to lows in the mid-30s.  With any mountain race, the weather can change suddenly. HERE is the weather for the surrounding area. 

UTMB QUALIFYING RACE

The Elkhorn Crest 50 is a qualifying race for UTMB. The 53 mile will earn you 4 points! The 50K will earn you 2 points!

 

MISCELLANEOUS

The Elkhorn Crest 50 is a CUPLESS event. Please come prepared with your own cup or bottle.    

We are proud to have the Baker High School cross country team and the local 4x4 group - Locked & Loaded - as the beneficiaries of this event. They have been out on the course at the aid stations since the first year!
